Losaida es amb spanglish Lower east side de New York.
es l'àrea entre la 14 i houston street, des de l'avinguda A al East River. Aquest nom càlid, florit i amb gust Hispà va ser concebut per els Porto Riquenys que van arribar en els 60. Un conegut Poeta i escriptor esta acreditat com el primer que va utilitzar el nom en un poema al 1974.
In the Born district, near to the Picasso museum you can find the new concept store Loisaida- a true representation of Lower East Side, New York with its own brand clothing, international brands, “new to you” and original quirky gifts.
Loisaida is full of retro-vintage clothes and accessories for both men and women. There is an interesting combination of new and old; sweaters folded next to an old typewriter, a 1970s record player next to socks, business cards placed in a long piece of carved wood with slots, and letters with the store's name lying on the floor at the foot of a coat rack showing off a great pair of pants and shirts. Simply worth a visit!
